Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is the pre-eminent resuscitation course for the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This advanced course builds on the foundation of basic life support (BLS) skills and takes healthcare provider training to the next level. Learners can expect practice and training in high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, immediate post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. Learn to become a practiced and strong member or lead an ACLS team with this important training program.

Step 1 - Self-Directed :

ACLS Part 1 is to be completed on your own. The certificate from Part 1 is required to attend Part 2.

Gross Anatomy Review - External Users

For user groups, external to the University of Calgary. 

As a commitment to provide quality educational activities, all external educational programs in the ATSSL must:

   1.  Demonstrate learning objectives, goals and evidence of ongoing improvement.
   2. Have a signed, executed and current UCalgary - ATSSL Use of Space and Equipment Agreement. For more information, please contact the ATSSL Manager.

Prior to entering the lab, all participants are required to:

   1.   Review the ATSSL Gross Anatomy Curriculum Overview for External Users.
   2.  Preview the ATSSL Introductory Video.
   3.  Sign and submit an ATSSL Waiver.
   4.  Provide proof of full vaccination. Refer to UCalgary Vaccination Directive.
