Linda Dalgetty departing University of Calgary

A message from Ed McCauley, president and vice-chancellor

Linda Dalgetty, vice-president (finance and services) will be leaving the University of Calgary on July 31, 2021.

Linda joined the university in 2014 and has been a valued member of the Executive Leadership Team. Her many contributions to the university include leadership of the 2016 ransomware event; representing the university in the Mac Hall negotiations culminating in the Stakeholder Rights and Management and Use of Space agreements; integration of the operations of W.A. Ranches; implementation of the university's enterprise risk management program; strengthening of the internal controls program; and significant enhancements to our cyber security posture and program.

Linda has been a strong representative of the university on several Boards of Directors, including University of Calgary Properties Group, Universities Academic Pension Plan and Innovate Calgary (University Technologies Inc.). Linda is the current president of the Canadian Association of University Business Officers.

The search for a new VP (finance and services) will take some time and an interim leadership plan will be announced in the coming weeks.

Please join me in thanking Linda for her service to the University of Calgary and wishing her well as she embarks on the next stage of her career.

Regards,

Dr. Ed McCauley
President and Vice-Chancellor
