In Memoriam: His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

In co-ordination with government buildings across the Province of Alberta, and in respect to the Commonwealth, the University of Calgary’s flag has been lowered to half-mast to honour the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. UCalgary’s flag will remain at half-mast until sunset on Saturday, April 17, 2021, the day of the funeral and memorial service. Prince Philip died on April 9, 2021 at 99 years old — two months shy of his 100^th birthday — and is remembered as the longest-serving royal consort in British history.
