The City of Calgary has a well-developed transportation system consisting of a variety of road and rail public transit options.  The C-Train provides 118.1 km of light rail transit, 2 lines connect 46 stations throughout Calgary. 

Buses

Calgary Transit has a system of 100% accessible buses. 169 routes stretch across the whole city serving 5,182 stops. There are 30 park and ride lots located throughout Calgary.

Who Can Vote?

You are eligible to vote in the general election if, on election day you:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Are a resident of the City of Calgary
  • Have resided in Alberta for six consecutive months immediately preceding election day

Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan

The Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) provides eligible Alberta residents with full coverage for medically necessary physician services, and some dental and oral surgical health services.

You must be registered with the AHCIP to receive insured hospital and physician services.
