Resident Precision Medicine Grant

The Cumming School of Medicine has identified Precision Medicine as a strategic priority area of focus. Precision Medicine represents an emerging approach to healthcare, which classifies individuals into sub populations and identifies effective treatments and preventions, based on genetics, environmental and lifestyle factors.

To support this direction and facilitate engagement of residents in this initiative which offers many new educational opportunities, the PGME office will be accepting applications for the 2019-20 RESIDENT PRECISION MEDICINE PRIMER for PGME.

PGME will offer up to four grants with a maximum available funding of $5000 per award.  Funding will be available for project development during the 2019-20 Academic Year commencing July 1, 2019.

The application link below outlines the terms, conditions and requirements of the award.  The application deadline date is May 31, 2019.  Completed applications should be submitted to Julie McEwen in the PGME office (G30 Heritage Medical Research Building) or electronically to jmcewen@ucalgary.ca.
