How it works

Submissions:

Once you press the “Submit a Contract for Review” button on our home page, you will be redirected to our contract management system which allows you to submit your contract information directly to our team. Queries about the documents, setup and information that you need are addressed in the “Before you start” section of our website.

Tracking:

Once you have submitted the online form, you can monitor the progress of your application in SharePoint under “My Submitted Contracts.” This will keep you updated on the most recent activity on your application. To see the latest actions on your agreement click on "view entries."

Once you submit, CMS legal will:

  • Review, negotiate and finalize the legal terms of the contract
  • Review and approve contract budgets with respect to institutional costs, including overhead
  • Ask the principal investigator (PI) to complete an internal approval form
  • Facilitate all required signatures from designated authorities
  • Provide a fully executed copy of the contract to each party
  • Submit project number request to research accounting for the corresponding contracts
