CTMS implementation

In collaboration with the University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, the University of Calgary is currently leading an initiative to implement a new, province-wide Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). Launching in mid-2020, the CTMS will effectively transform the way clinical research is conducted by providing an infrastructure that allows researchers and stakeholders to manage a clinical trial throughout its life cycle, to streamline communication, facilitate compliance, enable information transparency and allow for more effective institutional oversight.

The CCCR will house the UCalgary CTMS implementation and support office.  Over the coming months, the CCCR will provide updates regarding the CTMS implementation on our News page. Prior to launch, the CCCR will provide a variety of support services, including:

  • Account creation and onboarding support
  • Education and training for researchers, research coordinators and research teams
  • Study set-up services
  • System enhancements and management
  • Support for users facing issues
