Rural Family Medicine and Calgary Family Medicine Programs

The DLRI office gathers preceptor availability for both the Calgary FM Residency and Rural FM Residency programs for their mandatory core rotations.  

Rural and Regional preceptors are an integral part of the postgraduate FM residency programs. Understandably, there are unique challenges in providing availability to precept in advance, however, it is important for us to gather this availability to plan the schedules for the upcoming academic year.

DLRI is also recruiting moderators for the Undergrad Family Medicine (UGFM) SNAP sessions. Students will select one of the 26 Clinical Presentations and provide a 10-minute presentation for their colleagues and create a summary tool. These presentations will be supervised/moderated by one rural physician and one rural resident (preferably an R2). Students will not be graded.
