Biography
Gwen is a Research Associate who works with Dr. Parhar in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. As a Registered Nurse, Gwen cared for patients in the Cardiovascular ICU at the University of Alberta Hospital. While nursing, she completed her BA at the University of Alberta. Winning a scholarship to Cambridge University, UK, she moved to England and on completion of her studies joined a biotech startup. As a Regulatory Affairs Associate, she was responsible for pan-European regulatory compliance in oncology clinical trials. Returning to the University of Alberta, Gwen managed the Canadian Contingent of a multinational phase 3 Acute Myocardial Infarction clinical trial before moving to the Government of Alberta as a health Policy Advisor. Gwen is currently working on ARDS management in Alberta.
