Laura Hernandez

Laura is a research assistant for Dr. Kirsten Fiest in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. She holds a Bachelors of Arts Honours in Psychology and a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Calgary. She is passionate about research that aims to understand and improve health outcomes, healthcare and clinical practice, social aspects of interpersonal relationships and diversity.

Laura enjoys the opportunity to contribute to research that works to expand and implement evidence-based care and improved transitions to patients and families in the ICU; as well as projects investigating the social, cultural, and medical impact of COVID-19 in healthcare and the public.
