Fellowship Programs: Pediatric Radiology Fellowship
The University of Calgary’s Department of Radiology offers one- and two-year comprehensive fellowships in pediatric radiology.
The fellowship program offers a well-rounded exposure to pediatric diagnostic imaging with state-of-the-art facilities based at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. The pediatric medical imaging division is an integral part of the Department of Radiology of University of Calgary. The faculty members are all pediatric fellowship trained. We perform state-of-the-art pediatric imaging including all imaging modalities. The fellowship program has a rich lecture and conference schedule. Each fellow has opportunities to teach and participate in research projects.
The Alberta Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Calgary, is a 150-bed free standing tertiary care children’s hospital that contains neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and large pediatric emergency department and has access to most pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. It provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care to children up to the age of 18 from across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and southeastern British Columbia.
Qualifications include an MD or equivalent, and radiology certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. International medical graduates who have fulfilled the requirements of English proficiency outlined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) are welcome to apply.
