Nicole Joe

Nicole has received her BSc in Neuroscience (Hons) at the University of Calgary. For her thesis, she is investigating serum cytokine concentrations and clinical outcomes following repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation intervention in post-traumatic stress disorder. Nicole’s current research supervised by Dr. Kathryn Schneider and Dr. Chantel Debert, focuses on the assessment and treatment of individuals with cervicogenic dizziness following traumatic brain injury (TBI). This project will explore clinical characteristics, patient-reported disability and nystagmus in patients with cervicogenic dizziness undergoing medial branch blocks. Her research interests include the assessment and treatment of TBI and concussion. Specifically, the impacts on the central nervous system. Nicole is aiming to pursue a career contributing to the translation of TBI and concussion research to clinical practice.

In her spare time, she enjoys sharing my passion for figure skating through teaching, practicing yoga and spending time with friends and family.
