Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta and the third largest city in Canada, home to ~1 million people. Calgary is beautifully located at the transition zone between the Rocky Mountains and the Canadian Prairies.

Banff National Park is located 150km outside of Calgary and is Canada’s oldest National Park. The park is located in the Rocky Mountains and encompasses mountainous terrain, including numerous glaciers and ice fields, dense coniferous forest, and alpine landscapes. The main commercial centre of the park is the town of Banff, in the Bow River valley.
