Our research groups focuses on translational studies and novel diagnostic strategies for infectious pathogens including SARS-CoV-2, malaria, dengue, and C. difficile.
What Do We Work On?
The laboratory uses a combination of molecular, genomic, and proteomic approaches to understand the pathogenesis of infectious agents, such as Plasmodium falciparum malaria, C. difficile, dengue, SARS-CoV-2; develop novel diagnostic tools, detect and mitigate AMR, and elucidate mechanism of drug and diagnostic resistance. These studies are combined with clinical and epidemiological data to contextualize in human disease and translate findings to patients.
