  • Determine the various ways in which immunohistochemistry can be utilized in the evaluation of melanocytic lesions, while being cognizant of the potential pitfalls associated with different immunohistochemical markers.

TITLE: “Development of a Workbook for Surgical Pathology Rotations”     

OBJECTIVES: 

  • Recognize the widespread use of simulation-based learning in medical education
  • Recognize that simulation-based learning is underused in pathology
  • Understand the benefits of introducing simulation-based learning in pathology
  • Understand how simulation-based learning will be incorporated into surgical pathology training through the creation of an accompanying learning module
  • Recognize how the pairing of a learning module with simulation should improve grossing technical skills and knowledge retention
