Our weekly Case Review / Journal Club take place on Thursday. We will meet from 9 am via zoom. All are welcome to attend so please feel free to join us.
Trainees are requested to answer the journal critical analysis questions prior the presentation.

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will have improved knowledge of CMR imaging of cardiovascular disease.
Follow the sessions, learners will be able to apply up to date advanced imaging knowledge to clinical practice.
The CMR Weekly Case Rounds / Journal Club is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Brief job description:
The Stephenson Cardiac Imaging Centre is a world-‐renowned academic clinical program within the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. Our research program is multidisciplinary focusing on collaborations with cardiac sciences, data and computer science, physiology, cardiac surgery, and
biomedical engineering. We focus on imaging from cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), cardiac ultrasound (echo) and cardiac
CT. We offer a student research development program where students are
assigned to project based research team.
Teams work on:
• Clinical patient registry query and investigation
• Cardiac parametric mapping
• Sequence development, implementation and testing
• 4D cardiac strain
• MRI & CT
• Image analysis and algorithm development
• 4D flow MRI
• Image analysis and algorithm development
Teams hold weekly meetings to review progress and ensure students have
the mentoring necessary to achieve project goals.
Job requirements:
- Backgrounds and Skills:
• Collaborative problem solving, critical thinking and evaluation skills
• Ability to collect, organize and analyze data
• Knowledge of computerized data systems, databases, tools and procedures (experience with programming in Python or Matlab)
• Registered in full time studies in one of the below disciplines
• Minimum GPA of 3.2
