I am a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering. I graduated from Seoul National University with bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and master’s degree. After several years industrial experience of consumer electronics, I joined Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute and developed fluorescence imaging medical equipment. My current research interest is autonomous imaging segmentation from multi-modality imaging including 4D flow MRI.

I am enrolled in MSc. in Biomedical Engineering with Medical imaging specialization at University of Calgary. I completed BSc. in Biomedical Engineering from Ajman University of Science and Technology, Dubai, U.A.E. I did my internship in MPC Healthcare, Dubai, U.A.E. My research is focused on Congenital heart disease hemodynamics and energetics which includes Evaluation of 4D flow MRI and 2D phase-contrast, Perioperative cardiovascular and brain hemodynamics in single ventricle physiology and Advanced hemodynamic assessment of adult and pediatric congenital heart defects.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Medical Imaging at the University of Calgary. I completed my Bachelor of Medical Science with an Honors Specialization in Medical Biophysics at the University of Western Ontario. My research focuses on further understanding the hemodynamics in patients with repaired Tetralogy of Fallot (rTOF) using novel techniques including 4D Flow MRI. I am currently developing a tool to analyze Turbulent Kinetic Energy in various vessels of the heart in patients with rTOF, along with creating standardized templates for flow visualization. This in turn will allow us to better identify and predict altered hemodynamic patterns to assist with future interventions.

I am a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering with a Medical Imaging Specialization at the University of Calgary. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiology from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and I also have clinical work experience in an educational and treatment center with different imaging modalities. My research interest is advanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). My current research focuses on uncovering the complicated hemodynamics alteration due to congenital valvular heart diseases by applying 4D flow MRI and MRI-compatible experimental models.
