My research uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to investigate and improve health services delivery to children with medical complexity. I am particularly interested in incorporating child/youth/family input, expertise and experiences into the design and evaluation of interventions directed to improving inpatient care for CMC.
Specifically, my work is directed to:
Describing patient and family experiences of care into the design and evaluation of inpatient interventions and care delivery models.
Integrating patient-reported outcome and experience measures into the evaluation of care delivery
Engaging in patient/family partnership and co-design to develop interventions that are tailored to CMC and patient and family centred
Generating evidence to guide management of common clinical conditions in CMC such as gastroesophageal reflux disease and feeding difficulties
