Applications

We encourage you to apply for the Black Youth Mentorship and Leadership Program for high school youth. Applicants must:

• Be a Black youth in Canada willing and available to attend the program in-person in Calgary or online.
• Be available to commit 30 hours a week (Monday - Friday) from July 2 to August 9, except for statutory holidays. Please note that individuals enrolled in this program will not be able to take summer classes or travel during the period of the program due to its intensive nature.
• Be willing to learn and open to collaborate with others in a team.
• Be entering grade 11 or 12 in Fall 2024.
• Complete the program application form.
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

We are currently accepting applications for the Black Youth Mentorship and Leadership Program for undergraduate youth.  The application deadline is March 31, 2024. Interested applicants should submit a cover letter (detailing their interest in health science research, graduate studies and/or professional health science disciplines), CV and transcript to bymlp@ucalgary.ca
