ACFT is a public health toxicology lab in Calgary, Alberta.
We work to advance public health through excellence in toxicology.
As per our mandate, we provide analytical testing for public health programs, including:
- testing the quality of private, non-regulated, domestic drinking water and non-municipal public drinking water
- drug testing for individuals in the Alberta Health Services Opioid Dependency Program
- testing for contaminants (mercury) in fish
- testing for cyanobacterial contaminants (microcystins)
- radon testing
We also perform applied research and development in public health toxicology for:
- human biomonitoring
- cytotoxicity screening for water quality
- analytical testing for public-health-related research projects
