Biography
Michael's research focuses on using dynamic computed tomography (CT) imaging to analyze the relationship between joint structure and function in osteoarthritis (OA). Michael's thesis combines medical image processing, software development, and joint biomechanics to study the trapeziometacarpal joint and how OA affects joint mechanics. Using Python and C++, Michael is developing custom tools and software to provide a fast, semi-automated framework to process dynamic CT data sets and quantify joint biomechanics.
