Biography

I grew up in Iran in a crowded, lovely family and became the first in my family to go to university. I completed my MD at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and practiced medicine in both rural and urban settings before diving into neuroscience. Now I’m a PhD student in Dr. Yong’s lab. Outside the lab, I’m usually trying a new recipe, planting vegetables and flowers, watching anime with my husband, playing board games with friends, or finding a new Alberta trail.
