PREVENT VCI Study

The PREVENT VCI study is a longitudinal investigation that occurs over a five-year period to see if there is a correlation between the occurrence of a transient ischemic attack (TIA) and the development of late-life dementia. By using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to measure rates of brain shrinkage coupled with cognitive tests to measure the rate of cognitive decline, the study aims to diagnose dementia at an earlier onset, and thus give TIA patients better outcomes in the future.

SPIRAL

Simple Perfusion Reconstruction Algorithm (SPIRAL) is a clinical study that tests a new imaging algorithm designed to better detect acute stroke more effectively and efficiently at a lower cost. By improving this algorithm, we hope to improve future outcomes for patients that have suffered acute stroke.
