About the Committee:

The BRAIN CREATE Advisory Program Committee (BCPAC) will provide input and guidance to the strategic direction of the BRAIN CREATE training initiative in an advisory capacity. BCPAC will play a role in challenging the group of researchers to think innovatively as they establish their group of students and postdoctoral fellows who will participate in the training initiative. BCPAC will be the resource for the BRAIN CREATE Program reviews, will provide commentary on any related major changes in the program, and in the setting of performance indicators and program evaluation, and will assist in review of progress reports before submitted to NSERC.  

Role of the Committee:

The BRAIN CREATE Program Advisory Committee will:

• Act as a resource to ensure BRAIN CREATE makes good use of assets.
• Assist with resolving strategic level issues and risks.
• Assist in approving or rejecting changes to the project with an impact on timelines and budget.
• Assist in assessing BRAIN CREATE progress and reporting on BRAIN CREATE to the stakeholders’ senior management and higher authorities.
• Provide input and approval for two progress reports and one final report required by NSERC.
• Provide advice and guidance on business issues facing BRAIN CREATE.
• Provide counselling to assist BRAIN CREATE leaders in achieving their goals.
• Provide counselling in review and approval of final program deliverables.
