Biography
About me
After completing my Master’s degree in Medical genetics at IUMS, Iran, the unique multidisciplinary nature of the medical science program and the exceptional research opportunities brought me to the University of Calgary..
My research
I am a Ph.D. student in the PsychPGx lab and Laboratory of Human Cerebrovascular Physiology evaluating the moderating effects of polygenic scores on neuropsychological, cardiovascular, and cerebrovascular responses to exercise in older adults and prevention of age-related diseases such as ADRD
BRAIN CREATE program aspirations
BRAIN CREATE program brings a lot of opportunities for its trainees including different expedition and the chance to participate in academic exchanges and industrial internship. I already participated in ALMA expedition, and I hope to gain new experiences via participation in other academic and industrial internship programs.
Commercialization
Regarding the increasing general tendency toward direct-to-customer tests and personalized medicine, as well as the value of ADRD prevention (both for people and community), our results have the potential to be commercialized as an exercise programming ADRD PRS panel and prevention toolkit.
