Headache

Post-Concussion and Cervicogenic Headache

Our Headache Program focuses on two types of headaches:

  1. Post-traumatic headache: This can happen after a concussion, which is a mild brain injury.
  2. Cervicogenic headache: These headaches start in the neck and can be caused by injuries like whiplash.

Our team will work with you to find the cause of your headaches and create a treatment plan. This plan may include medicine, injections, ways to manage stress and thoughts, and exercises to help your body move and feel better.

We also help with other problems that can come with headaches, such as feeling very tired, trouble thinking clearly, poor sleep, and changes in mood.

A personalized plan outlining your goals, treatments, and next steps in your care.

To help us support all patients, please cancel your appointment at least 48 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the spot to someone else. If something unexpected happens, like illness or bad weather, please call us — we may be able to switch your visit to a phone or video appointment. If getting to appointments is difficult, talk with your care team so we can help.

To cancel:

  • Individual appointments: 403-943-9900
  • Group classes: 403-943-9925
  • Procedure appointments: 403-955-8190

A no-show is when you miss your appointment without canceling. After three no-shows, you may be discharged from the Chronic Pain Centre and Transitional Pain Services.
