My research focus in the emerging field of cardiovascular 4-dimensional flow (4D Flow) imaging. I have developed biomedical imaging technologies to asses heart valve disease, aortopathies, pediatric and adult congenital diseases. I lead the larger 4D Flow program in Canada at the Stephenson Cardiac Imaging Centre. Since 2013 I am Fellow of the Mexican National Researcher’s System. In 2015, I was the first Mexican elected Junior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. In 2020, I become Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
