Thank you for your interest in our Program!

In Calgary, our strength is our people. Our residents and faculty are terrific clinicians, teachers, researchers, and leaders. Our program strengths include an innovative mentorship program, procedural skills training, high-fidelity simulation and ultrasound training during a well protected academic half-day. Our training program contains a night-float  system for senior residents who rotate on our medical teaching units, and we place a high value on resident well-being.

We offer training over four adult acute care hospitals including the Foothills Medicine Centre, Peter Lougheed Hospital, Rockyview Hospital and  the South Health Campus. Our rural partners are located in Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Red Deer, and Yellowknife. 

The PARA contract is competitive and our senior residents have flexibility with research electives, out of province opportunities and international elective options.

Calgary is a dynamic city with much in the way of arts, recreation, universities, as well as proximity to the Rocky Mountains.
