I am interested in understanding the molecular forces behind protein conformational change and how they enable in vivo biological function.  This will be primarily done using new and exciting mass spectrometry techniques such as hydrogen/deuterium exchange, covalent modification and chemical cross-linking to study protein conformations under various in vitro and near in vivo conditions.
