The Calgary Neuroradiology Fellowship program believes it is important to balance patient care requirements and other educational experiences with the wellness of Resident and Fellow Physicians.
In concert with our Program’s teaching curriculum, we offer a variety of wellness events throughout the academic year that our Fellows and faculty members can participate in together. Outdoor active day retreats are held in the summer (hiking) and winter (snow tubing or snowshoeing) months. Semi-formal but relaxed large group meals and more active evening events (e.g., laser tag) are always well attended. In warmer months, our program organizes a monthly afterwork walking club to explore the city’s river and urban pathways (and local ice cream parlors).
Fellows will also receive wellness days in-lieu of working shift-based duty hours on weekends.
The Neuroradiology Fellowship program follows the Learner Wellness operating standards of the Post-Graduate Medical Education office at the University of Calgary.
Stay active. Stay healthy.
