The University of Calgary Department of Radiology offers fellowship training programs in all major radiology subspecialty areas.

All centres within the Calgary Region involved in fellowship training house state-of-the art imaging infrastructure in all modalities, perform a large number of studies and are involved in both clinical and research endeavors.

Adult subspecialty radiology programs are based primarily at Foothills Medical Centre, the main, Level 1 Trauma and tertiary referral centre for Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan and Southeastern British Columbia.  Fellows also interpret and report imaging from several other facilities within the Calgary Zone.

Pediatric radiology fellowship programs are based primarily at Alberta Children’s Hospital, the tertiary care referral centre for children for Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan and Southeastern British Columbia where both diagnostic and interventional procedures are performed.

All Faculty Radiologists involved in the adult fellowship program are certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, are fellowship trained, have Faculty appointments within the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine and practice subspecialty based radiology.

The University of Calgary Radiology Fellowship Program is grateful for the generous and ongoing gift of funding from EFW Radiology. Since the program’s inception, EFW Radiology has provided over 2 Million dollars in funding for the fellowship program and continues to commit funds to the program to ensure high quality subspecialty training.
