Bachelor of Health Sciences

Overview of BHSc program

The Bachelor of Health Sciences program is an inquiry-based, multidisciplinary, and research-intensive undergraduate health sciences honours degree program offered through the Cumming School of Medicine in collaboration with other Faculties at the University of Calgary.

By unifying the diverse research areas that relate to human health, the BHSc program centres on three major areas of health sciences: Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences and Health and Society, which are linked by a common inquiry component, taught by accomplished faculty researchers/educators. This structure is designed to produce graduates with highly developed core competencies in health research and communication, and who are able to apply their knowledge to the broad spectrum of health-related issues.

NEW and Improved - Undergraduate Studentship Payment Process

Process for requesting undergraduate student payments (awards, studentships, and stipends)

Access the Payment Portal

If you need to access the portal using an AHS email, please request access here

We’re excited to announce that the Undergraduate Student Payment request process is being modernized.

Our current process has been replaced by a streamlined online portal. This new system will allow you to submit your requests digitally through a user-friendly web form — no more printing, scanning or emails required.

Key benefits of the new process:

  • Simplified submission: Enter your information directly into the portal.
  • Real-time tracking: Monitor the status of your request from submission to completion.
  • Improved transparency: Stay informed as your request progresses.
  • Direct communication: Receive notes and updates from the administrator through the portal.
  • Secure and efficient: Once completed, requests will become read-only for reference and recordkeeping.

We are confident this change will greatly improve your experience and make the process faster, clearer, and more accessible.
