The Alberta Kidney Disease Network (AKDN) is a collaborative network of Nephrology Researchers located in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. The AKDN aims to study and evaluate trends in the prevalence of kidney disease and adequacy of care for patients with kidney disease, and to implement and evaluate strategies to improve the health and well-being of individuals with kidney disease.
Can-SOLVE CKD is a Canadian patient-oriented kidney research network working towards transforming care for Canadians living with or at-risk for chronic kidney disease. Their goal is that by 2020, Canadians with or at high-risk for chronic kidney disease will receive the best-recommended treatment and care and experience optimal outcomes, regardless of age, sex, gender, location or ethnicity.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada (KFOC) is the national health charity committed to kidney health and improving lives of all people living with kidney disease. KFOC relies on the extensive network of volunteers, staff and doctors to promote kidney health, provide support to those living with kidney disease and if possible, the elimination of the burden of kidney diseases.
