Welcome!
The Calgary Endocrinology & Metabolism Program offers services for diabetes, endocrine physician clinics, 24 h blood pressure monitoring, vascular risk reduction, osteoporosis, and weight management (bariatric) surgery.
Message to Referrers
Due to the ongoing concern of COVID-19, we’ve made changes to how we deliver non-essential services. Routine referrals may be returned with the request to refer at a later date, or they may be held for assessment at a future unknown date. Referrers will be informed of the status.
We will continue to accept Diabetes referrals meeting our new temporary triage criteria as well as Diabetes in Pregnancy referrals, as these are essential services. We will connect with current Diabetes and Bariatric patients with safety concerns or urgent needs.
Patient Resources during COVID-19
- Video Conference: Your health care team may offer appointments by Video Conference using a program called “Zoom”. If you agree to use Zoom, you’ll get an email just before your appointment, with a link. By clicking the link you agree to the terms and conditions that are listed here (Consent, Instructions, Troubleshooting). Using a laptop or computer with a web cam is easiest, because the link opens automatically when clicked. If you use a smart phone, or a tablet like an iPad, before your appointment please go to your app store (Apple here or Android here), and install the “Zoom” app.
