Timelines for booking ATSSL space and resources are determined by the Cumming School of Medicine Room Booking Policy. We accept booking requests on an ongoing basis, however processing times are guided by booking policy guidelines. i.e. Undergraduate Medical Education bookings for the upcoming academic year (July 1 - June 30) received by the January 31st deadline have priority status.
As an Accredited Simulation Program, we also evaluate all bookings based on simulation specific criteria. We actively work with user groups to address any gaps that are identified at this stage. We also welcome bookings for curriculum development support. We specifically review bookings to ensure that all elements of the Kern Curriculum development framework have been considered, by asking for evidence of the following:
- A needs assessment specific to current initiative.
- Objectives that address observable success criteria, and are directly tied to the needs assessment results.
- A curricular evaluation strategy.
- An implementation plan that aligns with currently available resources.
- An explanation for why simulation was chosen as the optimal educational strategy.
-
Lab Waiver
Every individual participating in an event at the ATSSL is required to submit a signed Waiver prior to entering the space for the first time.
-
Equipment Rental Agreement
All requests for equipment that is to be used outside of ATSSL facilities require acceptance of the ATSSL Equipment Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions.
-
