BMB - Bioinformatics
The Bioinformatics specialization of the BMB graduate program provides training in this rapidly evolving field through thesis-based research and interdisciplinary classroom training.
Admission Requirements
Applicants to the Bioinformatics specialization need to meet the academic requirements for the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Program.
Application to this specialization must have a Bachelor's Degree in bioinformatics or a degree in an allied field that includes a minor or joint-major in computer science, mathematics, or similar fields. It is important that candidates enter the program with some computer programming or advanced statistics knowledge; evaluation for admission will be made on a case-by-base basis.
Course Requirements
Students will select their courses in consultation with their Supervisor and approval by their Supervisory Committee. The selection of courses should be based on the previous training of the student and on their research interests.
