Transit Directions
From the bus terminal at EB Hospital DR @ Health Science CE NW (Stop ID 2933), walk west on the South sidewalk along Hospital Drive NW. Cross the intersection. The first building on the left is the Health Sciences Centre. Turn left to enter through the North Entrance to the Health Sciences Centre. Once inside, go up the ramp on your left, or walk up the 6 stairs and continue walking straight ahead. You will pass an Information Desk on your left and a staircase on the right.
Continue past the Libin Theatre on your left. You will then pass the University Bookstore on your left. If you turn left at the intersection, you will arrive at Theatre One, where the presentations will take place.
In order to arrive at the Azrieli Atrium (where registration, refreshments, exhibitors, and poster presentations will take place), do not turn left towards Theatre One. Instead, continue past the Indigenous Mural (on the right) and turn right. Walk down the hall leading and go up the ramp, past the Good Earth Cafe and tables. You have now arrived at Azrieli Atrium and the registration desk will be on your right.
We will have plenty of signage and volunteers to help guide you.
Calgary Transit Access/Drop Off Directions
The recommended drop-off and pick-up location is Lot P9, which is located directly East of the Health Sciences Centre. The link to this lot has been included below.
Once dropped off, please enter the Health Sciences Centre via the East Entrance. Go through a set of double doors, then continue past the elevator and several office doors. At the intersection, the Information Desk will be on your right. Please turn left and continue towards the Libin Theatre.

Driving Directions
If you are driving, we recommend parking at Lot 6 (North Public Parkade; parking map and Google Maps pin linked below).
Once parked, follow the signs to the elevators to enter the parking instructions (sent in the pre-event email) or wave down a volunteer (wearing baby blue t-shirts) to help enter the code for you.
After exiting the elevator area, please cross Hospital Drive NW. You can do this either on the ground level or you can cross using the +15 overpass. This will take you to the north side of the Health Sciences Centre.

Building & Venue Information
- In order to access the building, we suggest using the North Entrance to Health Sciences Centre. It is located at street level and the door on the right is push-button automatic. Once you enter, there is a wheelchair ramp on the right.
- Events will occur in two locations: Theatre One and the Azrieli Atrium. Instructions for locating these areas are described above, and there will be lots of signage and volunteers to help guide you.
- Volunteers will be wearing baby blue t-shirts that have the Better Mobility Lab logo on the front and "VOLUNTEER" on the back.
Theatre One Information
- Theatre One is organized in several tiered rows, with stairs down the middle.
- Theatre One does not have an automatic door. It will be held open by volunteers during the entrance and exit times. A volunteer will be stationed by the door throughout the presentations to assist with opening the door.
- When entering Theatre One, please be careful as there is a ledge on the right that some people walk into.
- There is a wheelchair ramp to access the front of the auditorium of Theatre One for any speakers. It is located on the far left side of the room.
- The wheelchair ramp can also be used to access wheelchair-accessible seating on the 4th row from the front on the left side of the room.
- Please watch for dedicated seating for individuals that use wheelchairs and for individuals that use mobility devices, located in the back row of the room.
Azrieli Atrium Information
- The Azrieli Atrium is located on the same level as Theatre One. It is an open space.
- Check-in, exhibitions, poster presentations will occur here, and refreshments will also be served here.
Accessibility Supports
- The speakers will be recorded (audio and visual) and the recordings will be made available online after the event.
- Speakers have been asked to provide visual description.
- Rooms used for the event will have Braille signage. Braille signage is not available for the food descriptions, so please ask for help.
- American Sign Language Interpretation has been arranged.
- Closed captioning is available through accessing the Zoom link. Unfortunately in-room closed captioning is not available for this event
- Service animals are allowed. Please watch for dedicated seating for individuals with service animals.
Amenities and Inclusive Spaces
- There is a quiet room available - Room G801E.
- There is a lactation room available - Room G700.
- There are multifaith rooms available - Room HSC1002 and HSC1004
- Accessible gender neutral washrooms are available.
