Research Activities

Detailed insights into the mechanisms of biology and disease come from structural methods that provide atomic-level models of molecular function.  Structural models generate new knowledge and lead to the development of targeted molecular medicines. Unfortunately, classical methods for structure modeling do not scale well to the systems level. Systems biology produces massive amounts of data, but we are limited in our ability to model dynamic molecular interactions, assemblies and communities of molecules at high spatial resolution. We develop new technologies in proteomics, mass spectrometry and bioinformatics to help transform structural biology into a systems-wide activity.
