Emerging Leaders in Health Promotion Grant Recipients
The Alberta Medical Association is pleased to inform you of the successful Emerging Leaders in Health Promotion grant recipients for 2018/19. The grant committee received 21 applications and approved nine projects from medical students or residents for funding.
University of Calgary
- Spencer KRAHN (medical student) - “Youth education on marijuana use”
- Reza OJAGHI (medical student) - ”Introduction of Canadian healthcare system to new immigrants and assisting them in finding a family physician”
On behalf of the AMA, thank you again for your assistance in getting the word out to your trainees and supporting them with the application process. The AMA views the Emerging Leaders in Health Promotion grant program as an important component of its leadership development activities and will be considering providing additional funding for this program in the upcoming year.
