DLRI is thrilled to present Cabin Fever 2025, taking place at the breathtaking Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge in the heart of Kananaskis, Alberta!
This highly anticipated faculty development conference offers an exciting opportunity to dive into the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in rural medical education. Throughout the event, you’ll have the chance to learn from a distinguished lineup of physicians, preceptors, residents, and experts as they share their research, insights, and personal experiences from their rural medical careers.
Call For Research & Scholarship Abstracts
As we prepare to open registration for attendees, we would like to invite you to contribute to the success of this event by submitting abstracts for research & scholarship projects for oral or poster presentation opportunities.
The 2025 Cabin Fever Research Committee is seeking abstracts for research & scholarship activities relevant to various aspects of health and healthcare in rural and remote settings, including projects for research, quality improvement, program evaluation and medical education. There are two presentation options available:
- Oral Presentation: Share your study findings and insights with fellow attendees.
- Poster Presentation: Present your scholarship work in a visually engaging format.
All abstract submissions will undergo an accommodating and supportive peer review process conducted by the Cabin Fever Scholarship Committee.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is November 30th, 2024.
Poster Presentation Specifications
Format: Portrait or Landscape layout. You have a choice among several layout options.
Size: Must fit within 7'5" in length, 3'7" in height (board size).
Printing: Responsibility of the Presenter(s).
Provided: Framed, cloth board with thumb tacks.
Oral Presentation Specifications
Format: PowerPoint slide presentation.
Duration: 10 minutes presentation and 5 minutes Q&A.
