Biography

     Danielle’s focus is on “methods” in health research. For the past 18+ years, Danielle has been working with APPROACH clinical data as well as administrative databases (DAD, ACCS, etc).  She brings expertise regarding database management & analysis, particularly in regards to APPROACH in her role as Data Scientist. Her publications have focused on the methodology for collection and analyzing data.  

     Currently, she performs high level statistical research and analysis related to many aspects within the department (Community Health Sciences), the O’Brien Institute for Public Health and with several research groups (including but not limited to: APPROACH, Ward of the 21st Century (W21C), members of the World Health Organization Family of International Classifications (WHO-fic) Quality and Safety Technical Advisory Group and Morbidity Reference Group). In her role as Associate Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre at the University of Calgary, she manages the many projects related to classification, terminologies and standards of the WHO family of classifications.
