Webinar FAQ

What is a webinar?

A webinar is when an event, speaker or presentation is broadcast in real time over the Internet. If you cannot attend some of our featured accredited CME courses in person, we often provide a webinar version so that you are able to hear the sessions in real time while watching the presentation from your own device. These webinars also allow you to interact in real time with the other participants and submit questions to the speakers using the comment field.

Which category of CME credits can I claim for watching a real-time webinar?

Our real-time CME webinars are accredited as a Mainpro+ Group Learning / MOC Section 1 group activity.

What equipment do I need to prepare for watching a webinar?

You need a device (desktop, laptop, tablet, or cellphone) with a stable Internet connection for watching a webinar. Check if your computer/device has the latest version of flash player installed and enabled in your browser.

How can I sign up for a webinar?

Online registration for our webinars is provided individually on each event page. Please check out our full list of courses for upcoming events and online courses. You can select the online event type to narrow down the list to only those courses with an online component. Once you have registered, you will be emailed the access information 24-48 hours prior to the webinar.

What are the deadlines to register for a Webinar?

Webinar registration will close at 2:00 P.M. 48 hours prior to the start of a course. This deadline will be clearly stated in the course brochure. Any webinar requests made after this deadline will not be accommodated, but those who still wish to attend may do so by registering in person on the day of the event. These registrations will be charged the on-site rate.
