Nurse Practitioner Clinic
The Nurse Practitioner Clinic, located within the Richmond road Diagnostic and treatment Centre, provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for general rheumatology patients. Care is coordinated and delivered by a team of skilled Nurse Practitioners. This clinic does not prescribe biologic medications. Appointments are available by referral only.
Preparing for your visit
Use the following resources to plan and prepare for your clinic visit.
When visiting our clinic for your appointment, please ensure to bring valid government issued identification and your Alberta Health Care card. Also bring a list of the medications you are currently taking (including any vitamins or supplements). To help make your physical examination more comfortable, bring a change of clothes (shorts, sports bra, tank top, etc.).
The doctor you see may be accompanied by medical students or other trainees. If you are uncomfortable with this, please let us know before your visit.
Our clinic is practicing all COVID-19 public health guidelines set forth by Alberta Health Services (AHS). This includes in-clinic social distancing and limiting the number of designated family/support persons who can accompany you. We also require you to wear a face mask/covering when entering our clinic. If you have any questions, please contact our clinic, or visit the AHS website to learn more about COVID-19 guidelines.
