Undergraduate Medical Education
The division of rheumatology is actively involved in undergraduate medical education within the Cumming School of Medicine (CSM). Many of our faculty members teach formal classes and lead coursework for students through the delivery of the MSK Course II offering. Several of our members also hold leadership positions within CSM educational programs.
Coursework
MSK Course II
Through our Course II offering, we provide first year medical students with an overview of all core areas of rheumatology, while at the same time supporting skill development for clinical screenings, physical examinations and the correct applications of diagnostic testing. Instruction is delivered through a combination of lectures, small group activities, team teaching and clinical core teaching. Information about the curriculum structure can be found here.
For more information about the MSK Course II, contact the Course Chair, Dr. Cristina Moran-Toro.
Pre-clerkships and clerkships
Our division offers students with Pre-Clerkship (years 1 and 2) and Clinical Clerkship (year 3) opportunities.
- More information on the Pre-Clerkship program can be found here. Students should contact preceptors directly.
- More information on the Clinical Clerkship program can be found here.
