Please note: The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta have revised their requirement for International Medical Graduates electives in regards to source verification. The new policy states that for IMG electives, who will be coming for elective periods up to three months in duration, the CPSA will waive the requirement for source verification of their medical degree through physicansapply.ca. This will be granted on a one time basis. If a resident or fellow return at a future date or decide to extend their elective period beyond the initial three months, they will be required to submit their medical degree for source verification.
