Angela Lockert
Angela Lockert is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a focus in Child and Youth Mental
Health. She graduated in 2006 from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing. She then went on to graduate with a Masters in Nursing in 2013 from the University of Calgary, while working at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in-patient mental health unit. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Toronto with a post Masters Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Diploma. She also holds certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse (CPMHN) from the Canadian Nurses Association. Angela has worked in mental health for the last 16 years in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Alberta. She has experience working with children, teens, and adults in emergency mental health, in-patient, out-patient, and community clinics including Children’s Services.
Angela recently joined the pediatric neurology team in May of 2022, and obtained certification through the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing as a Seizure and Epilepsy Healthcare Professional. She is excited to incorporate her expertise in mental health, as she builds a first onset epilepsy clinic.
