If you want to apply to our program, please provide us with a short information about the type of position you are looking for and a CV.
Our program offers both clinical and research fellowships. We welcome fellows with their own funding and currently once a year recruit to a funded fellowship of our program
Clinical Fellowship: Our fellowships will allow you to obtain the whole spectrum of skills for epilepsy care. This includes outpatient clinics as well as admissions to our seizure monitoring unit. You will be able to learn specialized treatments and diagnostics such as intracranial stereo-EEG, ketogenic diet and VNS. The fellowship will also provide you with the skills and knowledge to read EEG and sit for the EEG exam of the CSCN.
Research Fellowship: We also offer a combined clinical and research fellowship, which provides you with 50% protected research time. This time can be used to pursue a master/PhD at the university of Calgary or just to gather some more research experience and conduct a research study supervised by one of our staff members.
Requirements for fellows at the University of Calgary can be found here. Please be aware of the requirement to pass an English certification prior to being accepted into a fellowship program.
Our program currently has two PI’s (Dr. Scantlebury and Dr. Jacobs) with funded research programs. You can find our profiles here. We are always welcoming graduate students to our groups and are happy if you contact us.
General requirements for postdoc applications by the university of Calgary can be found here.
Undergraduate students can apply to one of the PI’s in our program to join us for a summer studentship. Many of our students have been support by one of the our PIs in the past and we are happy to discuss opportunities with you.
