Knowledge2Empower

Knowledge2Empower is an educational program that helps patients and the public learn all about epilepsy through fun videos, educational games, and virtual reality.

Our main goal is to help families cope better with seizures. But what's even more important to us is to make sure that every student and teacher knows about epilepsy, and that nobody faces unfair treatment because of this diagnosis.

Knowledge2Empower is divided in three subprograms.

A diagnosis of seizures and epilepsy usually results in stress and anxiety for the families. We made a special online learning platform called Knowledge2Empower based on what people really wanted to learn about epilepsy. You can easily access it on the internet, and we can customize the content to fit what families need to learn about at the beginning of their journey of living with epilepsy. We are currently running a research study involving families with a recent diagnose of seizures or epilepsy. If you want to know more about our study or if you are interested in participating, click on the link below for more information.

Coming soon... This part of the program is meant for families who have been dealing with epilepsy for a while and have more experience with it. These families have been on a longer journey of living with epilepsy, so this part of the program is tailored to their needs.

We work together with the Epilepsy Association of Calgary to provide talks and lessons to schools. These talks are for teachers and students of different ages and are designed to educate people about epilepsy and reduce stigma. If you want more details, click the link below.
