QuICR Catalyst Grant
The program is seeking applicants for catalyst grants ranging from $5,000.00 to $25,000.00 to support clinical research activities that support its principal mandates. Grants must meet the following criteria:
- The grant must be supported by a QuICR investigator as the responsible/corresponding applicant. The project may be lead by a trainee or junior faculty under the supervision of a QuICR Investigator.
- The grant must address a problem in ACUTE STROKE diagnosis of treatment, that supports the QuICR mandate.
- The grant will be funded as a one-time contribution over 1 year. There will be an optional 1-year no-cost extension. Any unused funds will be returned to the QuICR main grant.
Process
- Applications may submitted on a rolling basis. There is no specific timeline.
- Review will normally take 30 days from the date of submission.
- Applications shall be no more than 2-pages, using 12-point font, and include the following headings:
- Background
- Aim or objective
- Methods
- List of key team members, including naming the project lead
- A short CV (AIHS biosketch format or NIH biosketch format) of the responsible applicant
- Supporting material may be appended (eg. letters of support)
- Applications will be reviewed in partnership. Calgary applications will be reviewed in Edmonton; Edmonton applications will be reviewed in Calgary.
- Final decisions on applications will be made by the QuICR steering committee
