DLRI is excited to announce Cabin Fever 2026, returning to the stunning Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge in beautiful Kananaskis, Alberta!
This annual faculty development conference brings together rural physicians, preceptors, learners, and healthcare professionals for an inspiring weekend focused on advancing rural & regional medical education. Participants will explore emerging topics, innovative teaching practices, and real-world experiences that are shaping the future of rural care.
Through hands-on workshops, thought-provoking sessions, and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across Alberta and beyond, Cabin Fever 2026 promises to spark new ideas, collaboration, and renewed passion for rural medicine.

Rural Recognition Awards
The Rural Recognition Awards celebrate individuals and teams making a lasting impact in rural and remote healthcare. These awards honour excellence, leadership, and innovation that contribute to stronger, more connected rural communities. Nominations are open until November 30, 2025.
